Reading in Gaelic
at all ages

RESEARCH IN MORE DETAIL
In this project we will develop the first reading assessment in Gaelic, available for teachers in Gaelic medium Education and for any speaker of the language with an interest in reading. Reading is the weakest competence in Gaelic with no many readers and a lack of resources for practicing test comprehension and enjoying reading for pleasure. The project is intended to promote biliteracy with a minority language and its effect on reading performance.
